One of our favourite festivals and annual art celebrations is returning. The YYC Bump Festival. Not only does this event celebrate local and international artists, it has a lasting impact in the Beltline/Downtown area with their street art murals. Every year more murals are painted and every year the inner-city gets a little more beautiful.

August 1–18, 2025, transforming Calgary into a city-wide portal of public art, memory, and radical imagination, BUMP returns for its 9th year.

This year, BUMP invites you to step into a living, breathing city where alleys become raves, walls speak in colour, and streets vibrate with sound and celebration. BUMP 2025 is a declaration: public space is not neutral, and Calgary’s walls are fertile ground for new energy and meaning.

A visionary group of artists from across Canada and around the world will descend on Calgary to create murals. From reimagined mythologies to hyperlocal storytelling, this year’s work pushes the limits of contemporary public art. Full list of artists here.
