On October 23–25, the Pink Door Show launches a new season and a year-long initiative designed to connect artists, collectors and the community.
Behind an iconic pink door in Calgary’s Crescent Heights neighbourhood, something extraordinary is happening. Art is becoming more accessible, artists are finding new opportunities to build sustainable careers, and a growing community is discovering the power of connecting directly with the people who create original art.
The Pink Door Show returns October 23–25, 2026, at 223 7th Avenue NE, marking an exciting new chapter for the artist-centred initiative that has welcomed thousands of visitors since its beginnings in 2023.
What began as an intimate art exhibition inside a Calgary home is evolving into something much bigger: a year-round commitment to supporting Alberta\\\’s professional visual artists through exhibitions, mentorship, community connections and professional development.
Opening Doors for Artists and the Community
For many people, visiting a traditional art gallery can feel intimidating. The Pink Door Show takes a different approach, transforming a welcoming residential space into an art-filled experience where visitors can meet artists, ask questions, discover new creative perspectives and develop a personal connection with original artwork.
Whether someone is an experienced collector, a first-time buyer, or simply curious about art, everyone is invited to experience the creativity happening in their own city.
But behind the welcoming atmosphere is an equally important mission: helping artists thrive.
By operating as a volunteer-driven, low-overhead initiative, The Pink Door Show allows participating artists to retain the majority of their artwork sales while creating opportunities for exposure, professional relationships and long-term career growth.
The goal is simple but ambitious: to help make a sustainable living as a professional artist more attainable, while encouraging Calgarians to make local art part of their everyday lives.
The October exhibition will showcase 30 artists, giving visitors an opportunity to explore a diverse collection of original work and connect directly with the creative people behind it.
